Why I became a counsellor

From an early age I was drawn to understanding how people think, feel, and relate to one another. The more I learnt about counselling, the more I felt drawn to it.

Drawn to create a space where people feel safe enough to explore their deepest thoughts and the courage to change unhelpful patterns.

I know how hard it can be to carry the weight of self-doubt, strained relationships, or the sense that you’re never quite “enough.” My work is about meeting you in that place with empathy and respect, and supporting you to find steadier ground.

My approach

The most important part of therapy is the relationship between us. You’ll find me warm, collaborative, and honest. Together, we’ll create a confidential space where you can begin to untangle what’s been holding you back.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person brings their own story, so I draw on a range of therapeutic models depending on what’s most helpful for you. Our work will evolve as your needs evolve.

Clients often tell me that having someone alongside them, who listens without judgement and reflects back with compassion, helps them feel lighter, clearer, and more able to make meaningful changes.

What matters to me

I value empathy, compassion, and respect for every person’s dignity. I believe in creating an inclusive, non-judgemental space where you can be fully yourself.

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you understand yourself more deeply, feel safer in your own skin, and build relationships that nourish you rather than drain you.

Who I work best with

I work with people who want to change the way they relate to themselves and others. Many of my clients struggle with low self-worth, repeating unhelpful patterns, or feeling disconnected in relationships.

If you're hoping for...

A kinder relationship with yourself

More honest and secure connections with others

A sense of clarity and confidence about who you are

…then therapy could be a supportive step forward.

Professional background

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My experience spans work with mental health charities, NHS-linked programmes, and employee assistance providers. I bring that breadth into private practice, always focused on what feels most useful for you in the here and now.

Chris Moseley, BACP registered counsellor, offering online counselling UK for self-esteem, anxiety, and stress.

How we begin

Starting therapy can feel daunting. That’s why I offer a free 30-minute consultation. It’s a chance for us to meet, talk about what’s bringing you here, and see if we’re a good fit.

If you decide to continue, sessions are 50 minutes, delivered online, at £50 each.
